Family Days at Moose Mountain Falls
Come swim, splash, and slide at Timber Ridge's indoor waterpark: Moose Mountain Falls! With slides, hot tubs, kiddie pools, and more there is fun for the whole family. Access to the lodge and locker rooms begins at 12:00 pm. *Bring your own towel. Limited space available - max 50

We've moved this special evening to May and moved the event outside to the Abbey Pavilion. It's a wonderful night with your princess(es) for a night of dinner, dancing and fun! The Abbey Resort and Scott Thomas Entertainment do an exceptional job making it a night your daughter won't forget.

Build a Teddy
All Ages
Join us for a Stuff-N-Fluff event at Big Foot Recreation! Enjoy a snack with us as we bring our new teddy bear friends to life! Watch your child’s eyes light up as you help them make an adorable stuffed animal to take home. Each child will receive a kit that includes the bear, the wishing star that goes inside, birth certificate, stuffing, and bag.

Mommy & Me Tea Party
Ages 4 - 9
Bring your little one dressed in their fanciest tea party attire and create a tiara and glamorous jewelry to top off their outfit for the fashion show! In the midst of all the fancy activities, we’ll enjoy cookies and tea (lemonade). Moms, make sure to let your little one dress you in their favorite “fancy” attire!

Archery Clinic
Big Foot Archers is hosting a FREE "learn to shoot" archery seminar. Young or old, this is a great opportunity to try something new and experience the exhilaration of getting a bull's-eye! Equipment is available at the club or bring your own. No advanced registration is required.

Take-Home Valentine Cookie Kit
Make your family cookie baking easy with this ready-togo kit. Each kit includes 18 cookies, frosting, sprinkles, plus decorating tips and tricks. This fundraiser will help support FCCLA Club at Big Foot High School.

Parking Lot Bingo
Much like drive-in movies, you will tune your car radio in to an FM station and play from your very own vehicle! We will call numbers over the radio, then the winners can honk when they have bingo, and we will deliver a prize. Registration fee includes a bag with a dauber, bingo cards, and a pattern sheet for each player. All participants must remain in their vehicle.
Please register at least 2 days in advance.

Nature & Outdoor Programs

Snowshoe Hike & Bonfire
Strap on your snowshoes and join us for a full moon hike in the woods. This hike will be at night, but don’t worry… there will be hot chocolate, s’mores, and a bonfire to keep you warm! Snowshoe rentals available for boots Size 1 & up.

Family Scavenger Hunt
Do you like solving puzzles and riddles? These scavenger hunts will take you throughout the Big Foot community as you search for clues. Take a photo of each object as you find them and race to be the first one to complete the hunt. Challenge will be distributed Friday evening. You have the weekend to explore!

Ice Fishing Clinic
Join local guide Steve Mortenson and learn about fish identification, what equipment to use, rod/reel and tip-up set-up and use, lures, bait selection, fish location, jigging skills, and basic knot tying. Geared for the young angler or entry level adult angler. Dress warm as the workshop will be taught on the ice. All gear is provided for the workshop.

Valley Of The Kings Tour
All Ages
Join us for an educational tour of this private sanctuary that cares for animals of all sizes. VOTK provides refuge for abused, abandoned or retired lions, tigers, wolves and other animals. Not open to the public, this is an opportunity to learn about these magnificent animals up close.

Tree Climbing
Ages 7 - Adult
Tree climbing is a great way to spend time in nature, get exercise, and have fun! After a how-to and safety tutorial, climbers use ropes and harnesses to climb into the towering trees. Once you’re there, you can sit or stand on the branches, swing or hang upside down!

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 3 at 10:00 AM
It's time to celebrate spring with a traditional egg hunt for kids in the Big Foot area. The hunt is sponsored by the Village of Fontana and the Big Foot Recreation District.

Hunt Tips
· Arrive early to park & find your age area
· The hunt starts promptly at 10:00 with the arrival of the Easter Bunny
· Don't forget your basket
· We recycle eggs - please empty them before you leave

· Masks are recommended but not required. Please respect the safety of others.

Doggie Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 10 at 1:00 PM
Join us for our second annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs! You and your four legged friends will scour the grasslands to find kibble filled eggs.

Fee: $5.00/dog, proceeds go to the Lakeland Animal Shelter
Location: Fontana Duck Pond
· Advanced registration required
· Waiver required
· Proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination (rabies tag is acceptable).
· All dogs must remain on a leash and be non-aggressive towards other dogs.

Backyard Egg Hunt
Let us create an egg hunt for you! Big Foot Recreation will fill two dozen eggs and hide them in your front yard! Egg delivery will be on either a Friday or Saturday morning starting March 12. Emails will be sent out one week before delivery date with further details. Participants should live in the Big Foot School District boundaries and register more than a week in advance to the desired delivery date.

Fee: $40/delivery
Weekends March 12 thru April 2
