1st & 2nd Grade Baseball and Softball
At this level, we compete with other local communities. Youth pitchers are used, but after 4 balls, the coach steps in to pitch. "No walks!"

This division is designed to introduce young players to the game in a fun, safe, and encouraging environment. We continue to reinforce the basic skills like throwing, catching, hitting, and base running while building confidence and teamwork.

Every player receives equal playing time, teams bat the full lineup, and games are structured to keep things moving and enjoyable. With age-appropriate field sizes, simple rules, and strong safety guidelines, this division helps players develop fundamentals.

Registration: January 9 - April 1
Season: Late April - Late July
Tentative Schedule
Games: Primarily on Tue & Thur evenings
Fee:$60/Player
includes shirt, visor and socks; gray pants must be purchased
Girls Softball (Grades 3-8)
The Quad County Little League provides a fun, safe, and development-focused experience for 3rd–8th graders, with every player guaranteed at least two innings per game and teams batting the full lineup.

Games are time-limited with mercy rules to keep game play positive and moving. Younger divisions focus on fundamentals and confidence-building with age-appropriate field sizes and underhand pitching, while older divisions introduce more strategy, controlled base running, and a more competitive format.

Across all levels, rules are designed to promote skill development, sportsmanship, and a love of the game.

Ball & Glove program transition to Big Foot Rec
Starting for the 2026 season, Big Foot Recreation will be taking over the Ball & Glove program. B&G has a storied history and has made a remarkable impact on our community's youth. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to all who have dedicated their time and talents serving the Ball & Glove program throughout the years.  Thank you to all who have been part of the program!

Big Foot Recreation will be operate the baseball & softball program with a similar structure as B&G. We will use our office resources for smooth registration and quick communication with parents & coaches. Derek, Jake, John, Justin, and Troy will be working with Big Foot Rec to ensure a smooth transition.
If you have any questions about baseball or softball in the Big Foot community, please contact the Recreation District at 262-275-2117.
