Jr. Picassos

No experience needed! In this 10-week session you’ll learn Spanish in the form of play. Students will be able to start to read and speak Spanish. Pilar has taught at the elementary and high school level.

Ages 9-14
Parents, peace of mind is here! Students learn how to practice safe habits, prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses. The program is designed to prepare students for their first steps towards independence.

Astronomy Exploration
Family Friendly
Join us for an exploration of the history and future of astronomy! This 1.5 hour deep-dive into one of the world’s most cherished observatories includes a tour of the historic building, solar observing if the weather is clear, and an engaging hands-on activity that will immerse visitors in the wonders of astronomy. Bring a sack lunch to enjoy in the arboretum. Anyone under the age of 5 must have an adult present.

Drone Racing
Grades 5 - 8
Learn the fundamentals of drones, including safety, aerodynamics and controls. Get hands-on experience with VR drone racing simulators to build skills before transitioning to real-world drone operation. This program will help develop STEM skills connected to physics, engineering and technology in a fun and motivating way!

Bro Show Card Trading

Card collecting and trading has exploded in popularity over the last few years! Sports cards and Pokemon cards are two of the most popular types of cards currently being collected and traded. “Bro Show Collectibles” is coming to Big Foot for a fun day of card trading. Owner Mike Kunes is donating boxes of cards for this event! Kids get to open cards, trade with each other, and bring cards home to add to their collection!

Musical Theatre Camp: Dream Slayer
Ages 6 - 12
Step into a world where imagination is powerful and dreams take center stage! In Dream Slayer, young performers train at the Dream Corps Academy, where every student learns to confront the “Shadows Doubts” that try to dim their light. Through acting, storytelling, singing, and creative movement, students collaborate to write, rehearse, and perform an original short play, inspired by themes of bravery and teamwork.

Start Smart Sports Development

Start Smart is a national program offered through the National Alliance for Youth Sports. This is an introductory sports program that prepares children 2-4 years old for organized sports. Parents work with their child, the instructor, and other kids in a fun, non-threatening environment to learn the basic skills of throwing, catching, kicking and batting. Both parents and children should dress in attire ready to play!

Players must provide their own glove. Every player will experience every position throughout the 6 weeks and every player bats every inning.
T-Ball focuses on the basics of throwing, catching, hitting, base running and positions. *Parent Coaches are required for children 4 years old.
Coach Pitch starts off with the basics, then works on more advanced fundamentals of the game, such as outfield relay throws, when to stretch a base hit into a double and directional hitting.
