Family Friendly Join us for an exploration of the history and future of astronomy! This 1.5 hour deep-dive into one of the world’s most cherished observatories includes a tour of the historic building, solar observing if the weather is clear, and an engaging hands-on activity that will immerse visitors in the wonders of astronomy. Adults This spooky hands on workshop will guide you through the process of making your own Halloween decorations to display in your yard! We are bringing back the foam tombstones, but new this year is a witch’s cauldron on hot coals and a skeleton pallet grave. We will be using dremel tools, sanders, heat guns, spray foam and paint. It’s important for grandparents to learn the new recommendations for care based on research from doctors and scientists studying the physical and emotional development of infants and children. Participants will learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, in addition to life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, and injury management. Learning tips on creating a good relationship from the start as well as learning to respond to too many requests to babysit will help grandparents enhance their relationship with their children and create lasting memories with their grandchildren.
